MOJO Friend

I must really have my MOJO going on. This is two weeks in a row that I've actually managed to stamp AND post a MOJO sketch challenge card. Of course it might have something to do with the fact that it is STILL raining and the Red Sox are off, but I like to think my creative juices have been flowing. I took a little liberty with this sketch because I didn't have an easy way to make the scallop rectangles. I dug out some old retired favorites for this one. I just love the Best Blossoms set. I don't think I'll ever stop using it. The recipe:

Stamps: Best Blossoms, Lexicon of Love
Paper: River Rock, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Ginger Blossoms DSP
Ink: Ruby Red
Accessories: River Rock ribbon, Little Leaves Sizzlit

Lots of Friends

This is my first Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge, and my first card with the new SU colors. I thought I was going to get a lot more stamping in this weekend. The weather here in Massachusetts is horrible and has been for about a week. It rains all the time and the sun hardly ever makes an appearance. Since today was a complete washout, I figured I'd get a bit of stamping in. But rainy days are also good for cleaning and I ended up doing quite a bit of that too. But on to the card. I used a couple of "friend" sets: Good Friend and True Friend. I stamped off the flower from the True Friend to get the shadow effect. I like that look, but when I look at the card in person, it makes me think I forgot to put on my glasses! The complete recipe:

Stamps: True Friend, Good Friend
Paper: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Very Vanilla
Ink: Dusty Durango, Soft Suede
Embellishments: Soft Suede ribbon, Flourish Texturz Plate

MOJO91

I can't believe I actually made a card for the MOJO sketch challenge and it's not too late! Most of the time I don't get around to actually stamping until the weekend, but I had some time tonight (the Red Sox are off) so I figured it was a good time to participate. I think this is the first time I've made a card in this size and shape. I'm going to send it to my sister for her birthday. Thanks for looking. The recipe:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, All Holidays
Paper: River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla and some long ago retired DSP whose name I can't remember
Ink: Always Artichoke
Accessories: Chocolate Chip ribbon, rhinestone brad

My Mom's Birthday

The 19th is my Mom's birthday and I finally got around to making a card. I used the MOJO90 sketch challenge as the inspiration for my layout. I have always loved the Berry Bliss DSP and I have no idea why I don't use it more often. I hope my mother will love it too! The recipe:
Stamps: One of a Kind, Boho Backgrounds, On Your Birthday
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Build a Brad

Happy Father's Day

This is my card for the Stamps, Paper, Glitter sketch challenge. Of course, I needed a card for Father's Day and I thought this had a more masuline look than most of the cards I make. I know I'm not alone in having a hard time making cards that are not too "frilly." I wonder why that is? The recipe:
Stamps: All Year Cheer II
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Urban Garden DSP
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Build a Brad

Baja Breeze Thank You

I made a bunch of these for my husband. His father died recently and he wanted to send a nice personalized thank you to all of his friends who attended the funeral. It really meant a lot to him to have his friends there and we both thought a hand-stamped thank you would really help to convey how much his friends mean to him. The recipe:
Stamps: Pretty Amazing, Artfully Asian
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Walk in the Park DSP
Ink: Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Baja Breeze ribbon (Valet Ribbon Originals), Dimensionals

Sorry, the chocolate chip cardstock looks black in this photo. I really need to work on my photo taking skills!

MOJO89

This is my first MOJO sketch challenge! I think I'm really going to miss Baja Breeze when it retires. I used it a lot this past year. I still have quite a bit of cardstock on hand, so I'm sure I'll keep using it. I'm also quite proud of myself for using the baja breeze ribbon in the Valet Ribbon Originals. Sometimes I order things because I love them, then I'm afraid to use them because I love them and I don't want to see them go! How crazy. What's the sense of having these things if I don't use them? The recipe:
Stamps: SU! Elegant Thank You, Inkadinkado butterfly
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Walk in the Park DSP
Ink: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Baja Breeze ribbon (from Valet Ribbon Originals), Dimensionals

SPGSC15

I made two cards for the Stamps, Paper, Glitter sketch challenge this week. It's been a while since I posted: not necessarily because I haven't been stamping, but because I've been too lazy to take pictures! Shame on me. A decision that I regret since I made some really cool cards for some friends of mine. The recipes are:
Card #1:
Card Stock: Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Urban Oasis DSP
Ink: Kiwi Kiss
Embellishments: Brads, Ribbon, Punches
Card #2:
Card Stock: So Saffron, Basic Gray, Walk in the Park DSP
Ink: Basic Gray
Embellisments: Brads, Ribbon, Punches
