A certain Roy G Biv paid a visit to my house to help me out with my card for the current challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. Those diagonal lines called out for some rainbow colors and I was helpless to resist.
I actually got the idea from the rainbow challenge going on at AAA Cards. And Less is More didn't want to see a single stamp so I dug out this thanks on a line die then cut some thin strips of cardstock in the colors of the rainbow and arranged them in true roygbiv fashion. Easy peasy!
As always my CAS(E) This Sketch teamies have got some fantastic interpretations of this sketch so be sure to check them out. I hope we'll see you in the gallery!
Supplies
Paper: Cloud White (Reverse Confetti); Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point (Stampin' Up!); Dark Indigo, Royal Velvet (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Thanks on a Line die (Simon Says Stamp)

Freshly Made Sketches 298
I had bright colors on the brain when I sat down to make my card for Freshly Made Sketches this week. I had recently watched a Kristina Werner video where she did a rainbow colored design with some hexagons. I didn't have any hexagons, or use rainbow colors for that matter, but even still I was inspired to use a graphic image and some fun colors to make this card. Linda gave us the sketch this week. Check it out:
The stamp I used was only big enough to cover a certain amount of space so I made my card 4 1/4" square to make sure it went from corner to corner. I colored it with some Copics in nice bright colors then added a die cut "hello" sentiment a-la the challenge this week at Fusion.
This card was shockingly easy to put together. There was no fussing, fuming, or changing of anything! I even managed to color within the lines!
Thanks for stopping by! Our Freshly Made Sketches design team has got some fabulous cards to show you so be sure to pop on over there to check them out. I hope to see you in the gallery!
Supplies
Stamps: Stackem' High (The Alley Way Stamps)
Paper: White (Spectrum Noir); Basic Black (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: Black Licorice (My Favorite Things); Copics
Accessories: Happy Hellos die (My Favorite Things)

CAS(E) This Sketch 231
I was helpless to resist using a beautiful dragonfly die cut on my card for our latest challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. When you see the sketch you'll know why!
I will admit that this card too way too long to put together. I kept fussing over the size of the dragonfly and my decision to use a background stamp for the square image rather than a paper layer messed with the horizontal banner layer. According to the sketch it's supposed to be under the square layer, but I couldn't do that. After trying a few things I settled on a strip of some favorite washi.
I was inspired, too, by the CASE the designer challenge at Global Design Project which also featured a dragonfly! I used soft, muted colors in shades of gray and blue in keeping with Tanja's inspiration.
All my fussing paid off because I like the end result of this card! And my teamies at CAS(E) This Sketch have created some fabulous cards with this sketch so I know you will be wowed with their inspiration! I hope you can join us in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches 297
It's Wednesday so that means there's a new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. This week, yours truly is the hostess! So let's get to it, shall we?
There's a lot of Christmas in July going on right now. Have you noticed? I've already taken advantage of one Christmas themed stamp sale and obviously had Christmas on the brain when I sat down to make my card this week. Of course, that's the theme at CAS-ual Fridays right now and although the color challenge at Sunday Stamps is called a "salute to summer" it put me in mind of snowflakes! Go figure!
I took the liberty of adding some sparkly bits to my card because the color of that glimmer paper is pretty close to the neutral on that color challenge. Plus who doesn't love some sparkle on a Christmas card? The snowflake is actually one that is layered with three different die cuts. The bottom is probably my all-time favorite and it is followed up with a vellum one (that is hard to see) and a wee sparkly one on top.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can pop on over to Freshly Made Sketches and take a look at our challenge and the design team cards. I hope we'll see you in the gallery!
Supplies
Stamps: Tis the Season (Essentials by Ellen)

Ink: Real Red (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: Snowfall/Speckles embossing folder (Tim Holtz); Lindemon Snowflake die (Memory Box); Funky Flakes die (CAS-ual Fridays Stamps)

CAS(E) This Sketch 230
It was high time I added another Christmas card to my stash and Donna's awesome sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week gave me a great layout for some layered greenery.
The cue word this week at CASology is "wish" so I thought I'd "wish" someone a heartfelt Christmas sentiment! I have made quite a few Christmas cards this year but none of them have been of a simple, mass-produce style. That's not good! Especially when I find myself with not enough cards and a deadline looming! There's still plenty of time, right?
Thanks for stopping by! And be sure to check out the inspiration from the CAS(E) This Sketch design team and join us in the gallery this week!
Supplies
Stamps: Spruce & Sprigs (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: True Thyme, Very Vanilla, (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: True Thyme, Always Artichoke, Mossy Meadow, Cranberry Crisp, Cherry Cobbler (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: Spruce & Sprigs die (Papertrey Ink)

Freshly Made Sketches 296
This week our lovely challenge at Freshly Made Sketches is brought to you by Jen Timko. The sketch is square but I used a little poetic license and created a rectangular card.
The colors for my card come from the latest challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. As I was putting this card together I wondered how a red butterfly would look and I'm happy to say that I like it! I layered the swiss cheese butterfly top over a vellum bottom and jazzed up the background with some sparkle medium speckles in a champagne color. I finished off the corner with some Nuvo Crystal drops in place of a paper layer.
My Freshly Made Sketches teamies have put together some great cards to inspire you to join us this week. I hope we'll see you in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Very Much
Well, hello there. I took a little impromptu crafting break last week but I'm back! I've been a busy little kid around the house re-arranging furniture, having a bit of a clear-out, and assembling a whole lot of IKEA stuff. But I was missing my craft room so I ventured in there Sunday night to dust off the cobwebs.
And what cobwebs there were! I had intended to play along with the tall and skinny sketch at Sunday Stamps but after spending quite some time getting that flower stamped just right I realized that, other than the tall and skinny part, the layout of my card looked nothing like their sketch. I also was playing along with LeAnne's monochromatic colors at The Paper Players. I was all set to stamp some leaves (in green of course) when I realized that there's no green in that color challenge! I didn't like the idea of my flower floating all by itself in all that white space and I was too tired to add more flowers because that would involve a lot of masking so I stamped a couple of outline leaves in Rich Razzleberry. Ugh! The flower is gorgeous (gotta love the Altnew magic of layered images) but the rest I am not happy with.
Tomorrow is another day and I'm sure that my mojo is out there lurking just waiting for a spark to ignite it. I'll be back at it again soon! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies
Stamps: Much Appreciated (Stampin' Up!); Peony Bouquet (Altenew)
Paper: Solar White (Neenah); White (Spectrum Noir); Lavender Moon (Papertrey Ink); Rich Razzleberry (Stampin' Up)!
Ink: Lavender Moon, Raspberry Fizz (Papertrey Ink); Rich Razzleberry (Stampin' Up)!
Accessories: crochet thread
