I made a card the other day for The Paper Players challenge and I've been debating with myself ever since about whether I wanted to post it here.
What I had in my head for a card for this sketch is not what ended emerging on my stamp desk! I don't understand how that happens sometimes!
I've been contemplating Christmas cards quite a bit bit lately and I've got loads of Christmas designer paper so I thought I'd use some of it for this challenge. I think the end result is a bit too busy for my taste and to make matters worse, I am now completely OUT of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon. I barely had enough to wrap around this card. Oh, the horror! I don't know how I let this happen, but you can bet that it's on the top of my list to re-order!
Thanks for stopping by today!
I don't know how it happens either but it happens to me all the time! I rather like the busy-ness of your card and you're right - that Cherry Cobbler seam binding is delicious!
ReplyDeleteNo more cherry cobbler seam binding?! (insert scream here) This is "busier" that your usual style, but I sill like it! I love cherry cobbler for Christmas cards!

ReplyDeleteeeeeekkkk... out of CC ribbon. I absolutely feel your pain! However, I am very pleased that you used it up on a card that you shared with us. It's a beautifully rich looking card and the two layer snowflakes really do add so much as a focal point!
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week!

It may not be your usual style but it's wonderful all the same! Love the double layered snowflake and the sweet felt center! I think the stripes and polka dots are fabulous together! So glad you shared it with us! ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nance, not your usual style but completely awesome! I love this card so much!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this paper. I love the dots and stripes together too. Great colors. I can't believe that we are starting Christmas projects already but it will be here before you know it.
