Freshly Made Sketches 46

Today at Freshly Made Sketches we've got another fabulous sketch designed by Lesley who has returned from a well-deserved break refreshed and ready to go!

I had a rather busy weekend and didn't get to devote as much time to my card as I wanted.  So when I finally sat down at my desk I was, shall we say, CHALLENGED.  I couldn't decide on colors, stamps, or shapes.  Nada.  Zip.  Nothing.  My sister called me around 10:00 at night in the midst of my card-making crisis and had no words of wisdom for me.  I was beginning to feel a little desperate that I was going to fail as a card-maker.

Finally I decided on the Everyday Enchantment DSP, which lead to me choosing the colors.  But that Top Note die shape still had me stumped.  Sometimes for me stumped translates to "substitute something" so I substituted that shape for the decidedly different shape of a butterfly.  I cut butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die in both Pool Party and Every Enchantment DSP (crimping the biggest one along the way), then stamped and punched a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri to finish off my layers.  I added a row of Basic Pearls, a sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners and called it a night!

Be sure to pop on by Freshly Made Sketches and check out the design team creations.  Then get yourself all inky and join us!
