I excited to share with you that I'm joining the Merry Monday design team temporarily, filling in for Margaret Moody! I've had such fun over there the past month and I'm looking forward to the next few challenges. I don't often do inspiration challenges (too scared) and I've found that by playing along at Merry Monday I've had to dig deep into my crafty stash, both physically and psychologically. It's good for the crafting soul!
Today Deanne is challenging us to use a present or gift on our card. True to form I had to dig way into my stash and actually rescue a stamp set that was in my "to be sold" pile for my card!
I think that possibly these are meant to be birthday presents but I colored them up with some Christmas colors and voila!
I'm also entering this over at Sketch Saturday where we get to pick the sketch from some of their previous layouts. I chose 217 because I love a good ol' tilted layer now and then!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the beautiful cards from the Merry Monday design team!
Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Moments (SU); Tinsel N' Trim (Reverse Confetti)
Paper: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Holiday Treasurers DSP (SU); X-Press It Blending Card
Ink: Black Licorice (My Favorite Things); Versamark; Copics; Blendabilities (SU)
Accessories: white embossing powder
Your presents look terrific and I love that sentiment embossed in white!! Congrats on your temp gig at Merry Mondays!!!
ReplyDeleteBig congrats Jen!! Cute card ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I've got this stamp, too - somewhere deep in the recesses of my stamp storage system! This is such a cool card - but what's even cooler is that you're staying on with the team for a bit longer!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! That stamp set was just perfect for this - love your layout too - so glad you're staying on!
ReplyDeleteThose presents colored up perfectly for Christmas, Jen! And that sentiment couldn't be more perfect! I like the tipped layers too! Glad you're staying with us! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI think those are some perfect Christmas gifts! Love it Jen!!!

ReplyDeleteSo cute Jen!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jen!! I love ur card. I always do :)
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of your design on this card; minimal colours and those two little staples are a very innovative choice for the sketch. It's great to see you join in the fun at Sketch Saturday this week. Hugs, Lesley
