Hello! Today we've got a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches brought to you by the incomparably funny Linda! I went a bit literal with the sketch as you will see.
All those circles were perfect for the inlaid die technique, so that's what I did. I took my color cues from the Just Us Girls challenge. There were some circles there in the inspiration photo which fit in with this sketch perfectly!
Our always amazing Freshly Made Sketches design team has cooked up some really fabulous cards to wow you this week, so be sure to pop on by to check them out! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Say What (Mama Elephant)
Paper: Classic White (Flourishes); Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Basic Black (SU)

colourQ 310
Hello! Today we've got some colors to show you at colourQ inspired by these cool measuring spoons. A little color in the kitchen is a good thing!
The layout for my card is from the latest sketch at Match the Sketch - with a few liberties on the stars. I thought the big bow was a good substitution for them! But I've got to say that a funny thing happened when I was making this card. At first I was going to go all old-school and dig out my scallop circle dies. Remember those? Then I remembered that I recently got this wreath die and decided to use that. I got the die primarily for Christmas cards so my card morphed into a non-traditional-color Christmas card. I do love to make those and I really love how this came out.
Ok, so how will you interpret these colors? Join us at colourQ and show us how! We love to see you in the gallery! And to get your creative juices flowing our amazing colourQ design team has some beautiful cards to show you. Hop on over there and check them out!
Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly Made Sketches 205!
Hi there! It's Wednesday so there's a brand new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! This week our hostess is Rita and I love her sketch. It's got a big ol' banner on it and I love banners!
A while back I got these big fishtail banners but this is the first time I've used this big one. Rita's sketch was the perfect excuse to dust them off. And I chose to do my card in three shades of blue so that I could play along with the color challenge at Can You Case It.
My awesome Freshly Made Sketches teamies have made some beautiful cards with this sketch so make sure you check them out. I hope you can join us in the gallery this week!

colourQ 309!
Fall is definitely in the air here in New England all of a sudden. That sounds weird since we are more than halfway through September but up until now the weather has been unseasonably warm. Hot even. Not that I'm complaining, I love the heat! But yesterday was the first day I felt like I should be wearing a sweater. [Insert sad face here].
But enough about the weather! It's Tuesday which means there's a new color palette at colourQ and the colors put me in mind of fall. They are inspired by this comforter.
Lucky for me and my dreams of fall the challenge this week at Addicted to CAS is leaves! And the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch was too good to pass up so I combined all three challenges for my card.
Well that's it for me! My teamies at colourQ have created some beauties with this color combo so be sure to check them out. I hope to see you in the gallery this week! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: French Foliage (SU); Grunge Me (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: White (Spectrum Noir); Basic Gray (SU)
Ink: Going Gray, Basic Gray, Summer Starfruite, Cajun Craze (SU)
Accessories: Sentiment Strips die (My Favorite Things); Midnight Blend sequins (Avery Elle)

Freshly Made Sketches 204
Hello, hello! It's time for a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches! This week our intrepid pilot Jen Timko is our hostess and I am pretty sure that you are going to love her sketch!
At first I intended to make a card with some lovely leaves and some lovely fall colors, but then I saw that Jingle Belles and Shop Our Stash teamed up to encourage Christmas cards made with supplies we already have and I changed my mind. Plus I'm way behind on my Christmas cards this year so any excuse to add to my Christmas card stash is a good excuse!
You won't be surprised to see that the Freshly Made Sketches design team has made some pretty fabbo cards this week so, if you haven't already, be sure to pop on over there and check them out. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:

Ink: Blue Bayou (SU); Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Pierced Rectangle STAX (My Favorite Things); Falling Snow stencil (Simon Says Stamp); Transparent Matte Texture Paste (Ranger); Winter Wonderland sequins (Neat & Tangled)

colourQ 308!
Hello, hello! Time for a brand new challenge at colourQ! I adore the colors this week because it's got an old favorite of mine - Kiwi Kiss! The palette this week is inspired by this shopping tote.
I think this is the fastest card I've ever made! I had seen the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch the other day and knew right away that I wanted to use it with these colors. I didn't get a chance to put my card together until I got home from work last night but I had plenty of time to put it together in my head. So when I got home I grabbed the supplies I needed and put this together in no time flat. That hardly ever happens to me but I love it when it does!
As you can imagine our amazingly talented colourQ design team has knocked it out of the park with these colors so be sure to pop on by and check their cards out if you haven't already!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Gorgeous Grunge (SU); Abstract Art (My Favorite Things); Mini Thank You (Heidi Swapp)
Paper: White (Spectrum Noir)
Ink: Sahara Sand, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy Soft Sky (SU)
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones (SU)

Tag You're It 30
Finally it is Friday! This past Monday was a holiday and a day off from work for me. But for some strange reason, whenever that happens the other four days at work drag on forever. So what should be a short week feels like an extra long one! But finally the end of the week is here and to celebrate there's a new challenge at Tag You're It! This week Nancy is our hostess and she's got one terrific celebration tag as her inspiration.
This is the only cupcake image I own! Crazy, I know! I love it because it's paired with my favorite bunny. I thought it was perfect to use for this challenge. I tried to keep the colors similar and I wish I had some of that great confetti Nancy used but I had to settle on some colorful sequins.
My teamies at Tag You're It have created some great tags for you to see this week. I hope you can join us! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Forget About the Cake (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper: Soft Stone (Papertrey Ink); X-Press It Blending Card
Ink: Black Licorice (My Favorite Things); Onyx Black (Versafine); Copics
Accessories: Basic Bookmark 2 die (Papetrey Ink); Birthday Bash sequins (Neat & Tangled)

Freshly Made Sketches 203
This week I am the hostess at Freshly Made Sketches. When I designed the sketch I thought it would be good for CAS card makers as well as those who like to use layers and embellish things up a bit.
I went with a fairly simple design using the colors from Sunday Stamps. The colors call for Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry and I was surprised to see how similar they looked on my card. The background stamp was done in Daffodil Delight and the little musical notes are Crushed Curry. I actually stamped the "you rock" sentiment in Crushed Curry first and was disappointed to see that it didn't really show up. So I went over it with some Island Indigo and what I got was green. Oops! That's not what the gals at Sunday Stamps want to see!
There are some gorgeous cards to see at Freshly Made Sketches so be sure to check out what the design team has been up to! I hope to see you in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!

colourQ 307
Happy Tuesday! Today we've got a new palette for you from colourQ inspired by these adorable sneakers!
I used the latest sketch at As You See It for my layout but now that I look at my card here it seems I may have taken a few liberties with the sketch! I was afraid that in the photo the Blackberry Bliss paper and the Bravo Burgundy ink would look too much alike but for once my I actually managed to show off each color! There is some translucent embossing paste in a diagonal stripe on that vertical layer - I love that stuff. It looks so cool in real life!
The colourQ design team has got some beautiful cards to show you this week using these colors so make sure you pop on by to see them. I hope to see you in the gallery!

You Make Me Smile
I'm popping in quick today with a card I made for the circles challenge at Stampin' Royalty along with the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch and the colors from Can You Case It.
I just got some new goodies in the mail and they happened to be circular so I went up to my stamp room and introduced them to some ink. This is a super simple card and I think I spent more time plotting and planning how to arrange those brush-stroke circles than was probably necessary! But I really like how this turned out so I'm happy I took that time!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Brushed Off, Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: White (Spectrum Noir)
Ink: Harvest Gold (Papetrey Ink); Baja Breeze, Early Espresso (SU)
Accessories: Enamel Dew Drops (Freckled Fawn)

Freshly Made Sketches 202
Hello and welcome to Wednesday where a new sketch is revealed at Freshly Made Sketches. This week Amy is our hostess and she has brought us a classic sketch that she has used beautifully on her own card with her signature eclectic blend of colors. For my part, I used only a few colors but they are pretty bright!
Last week I was running behind and didn't get my card posted for Freshly Made Sketches until Friday. I used the colors from Color Throwdown which I've never done before since our challenges both go live on Wednesday and, obviously, I need to have my card done before that. Well this week I remembered that the gals at Color Throwdown do a sneak peek of their colors on their Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon so I took a chance and waited until I saw those colors before I made my card!
So bright and cheery, right? I took my cue from the floral bouquet and used a daisy die and in keeping with the white background used a bit of vellum for my banner. I stamped the sentiment in pigment ink and heat embossed with with clear embossing powder to set it.
As usual, our always amazing Freshly Made Sketches design team has created some beauties with this sketch so be sure to stop on by and check them out. We'd love to see you play along with us in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Thank You Kindly (SU)
Paper: Classic White (Flourishes); Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Vellum (SU)
Ink: Onyx Black (Versafine)
Accessories: Gerbera Daisy die, Blueprints 15, Sentiment Strips die, Stitched Rectangle STAX (My Favorite Things); Cakewalk button (October Afternoon); clear matte embossing powder

colourQ 306
Hello! My posting lately has been a bit sparse and I hope to remedy that but I'm back today with a card using the new palette at colourQ! The colors are gorgeous together and I predict the gallery will be full of beautiful projects!
This dahlia stamp is so beautiful but so tough to stamp! It's three images and trying to figure out how to line them up correctly is a real pain. I finally figured it out after about 10 minutes of turning the stamps this way and that! Luckily my MISTI makes short work of actually stamping the images!
I'm also playing along with Sketch Saturday where this week we get to pick one of their past sketches. I chose #249 because I love the layered scallops.
This card is headed to a friend this is quite ill. I spoke to her on Friday and she sounds so upbeat despite everything that is going on and I wanted to send along a few extra words of encouragement. She's got a tough battle ahead of her and needs a lot of positive energy and prayers.
My teamies at colourQ have made some beautiful cards this week so be sure to check them out. Hope to see you in the gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
