Freshly Made Sketches 440

Here we are again with a brand new challenge from Freshly Made Sketches!  This week our hostess is Amy and her design put me in mind of an old favorite - poinsettias.

I think it's been a while since I've made a Christmas card and seeing as how 2020 is almost half over I figured I'd better get a move on.  Of course, 2020 is a year like no other so it's probably OK that I'm a little off.

The colors at The Paper Players seemed perfect for my little poinsettias.  And full disclosure - the green I used might be Tranquil Tide but I'm really not sure.  As I was rooting around in my stash of cardstock I came across this random piece - it might actually be the only one I have - that seemed to match the color.  I used vellum for the shape in the middle and stamped the sentiment right across it.

Thanks for stopping by!  My fellow Freshly Made Sketches teammates have made some fantastic cards to inspire you to play along with us.  I hope you'll join us in the gallery!

  2. CLOSE enough for the Tranquil Tide....we're not going to have the color police come arrest you, LOL! Such a pretty yet simple card...I am going to have to see if I can find that sweet little "noel"! I know I have it somewhere in my vast Christmas stamp collection!
