I can't believe it's Wednesday! And today at Freshly Made Sketches we welcome a new sketch designed by the talented and witty Linda Callahan.
The code word this week at Addicted to CAS is "gift" and I was pretty sure I wanted to play along over there using this bunny image. It wasn't too long before I realized that image would look great with Linda's sketch. I dug out some old DSP in bright, fun colors and used it to add a vertical strip to the side and a little square background for my big-eared bunny. I colored the gifts with Copics in colors that matched the DSP.
Thanks for stopping by and please stop by Freshly Made Sketches to see the inspiration from the design team. I hope to see you in the gallery!

Tag You're It 30
Finally it is Friday! This past Monday was a holiday and a day off from work for me. But for some strange reason, whenever that happens the other four days at work drag on forever. So what should be a short week feels like an extra long one! But finally the end of the week is here and to celebrate there's a new challenge at Tag You're It! This week Nancy is our hostess and she's got one terrific celebration tag as her inspiration.
This is the only cupcake image I own! Crazy, I know! I love it because it's paired with my favorite bunny. I thought it was perfect to use for this challenge. I tried to keep the colors similar and I wish I had some of that great confetti Nancy used but I had to settle on some colorful sequins.
My teamies at Tag You're It have created some great tags for you to see this week. I hope you can join us! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Stamps: Forget About the Cake (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper: Soft Stone (Papertrey Ink); X-Press It Blending Card
Ink: Black Licorice (My Favorite Things); Onyx Black (Versafine); Copics
Accessories: Basic Bookmark 2 die (Papetrey Ink); Birthday Bash sequins (Neat & Tangled)

Freshly Made Sketches 176
Are you ready for a fun sketch from Freshly Made Sketches? This week our hostess is Cindy Hall and she created a long and skinny sketch for us! Once upon a time I made a long and skinny card sized to fit a standard #10 business envelope and honestly it is one of my favorite cards. The size is unexpected and it gives you lots of room to work!
But don't think you need to make a card that big! A2s are welcome as well as any other size that you are comfortable working with. My card is 3 x 6 and is sized to fit in some old SU envelopes that they sold way back when.
Of course my bunny ears extend beyond the three inch margin of my card so I'll probably have to make my own envelope for this one! It's been a while since I've used this cute guy on a card and somehow the fun size of this sketch made me want to use this fun image.
Our wonderful Freshly Made Sketches design team have got some great cards to show you - in all different sizes so check them out! Then play along with us!
Thanks for stopping by!

The Bunny Challenge
I very nearly didn't post this card. It was just about to be tossed into the "meh" pile before I remembered some words of wisdom from a wise stamper named Linda. She got it from another wise stamper, and I'm paraphrasing, but her advice is to proudly post the card as if it was the Mona Lisa and then continue on to the next card.
So, without further ado here is my Mona Lisa:
The colors are from Color Throwdown and the bunny theme is from CASology. I'm making is just under the wire for the CASology sketch. Although I knew the image I wanted to use (love those floppy ears), I couldn't decide on colors. Then along came the Color Throwdown challenge and I made sure I set aside some time yesterday to make this card - getting it done just in time!
Well, the snow finally stopped (after about 34 hours of non-stop flakes). I wound up with a few inches over a foot of the not-so-fluffy white stuff and I think I've about had it for snow this winter. I REALLY hope that this last storm is it for us this season! Time for spring, I say! Thanks for stopping by!

CASology 17
The theme this week at CASology is SUGAR, which made visions of sugar plums dance in my head when I saw it! I didn't think I had any stamps that were even remotely related to sugar until I stumbled across this cute cupcake (with it's adorable bunny).
How cute is this little guy? Those big ears get me every time. I kept this pretty simple because, after all, the challenge is about clean and simple. But I did add a layer of Sahara Sand behind the image layer to make things a little more interesting.
Thanks for stopping by!

colourQ 147
When I first sat down to make my card for this week's colourQ challenge I was a little stumped. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do so I started looking through my stamp sets for inspiration. That's when I spied the adorable Birthday Bunny stamp from The Cat's Pajamas.
I think this bunny is about the cutest thing ever and I smile every time I see it. I mean look at those big floppy ears. Adorable! I think this stamp is heaven sent for this challenge because coloring that big pile of gifts is the perfect way to show off these diverse hues. And don't you just love the HB stamp from It's Your Birthday? It's like text message shorthand for cards! LOL! {text message shorthand again}
And a funny thing happened on the way to making this card. I was looking through my personal compendium of sketches that I keep around for inspiration and found one that I thought would be perfect for this stamp set. But as I got going putting it all together it suddenly occurred to me that with a few tweaks it would be perfect for the sketch challenge at The Paper Players.
I did change it up a bit and made my card square, but other than that I remained true to this beautiful CAS sketch. Sometimes lots of white space is just what the doctor ordered!
We've got a new face over on the colourQ blog so hop on over and say "hi." I'm sure she's no stranger to you! I have long admired Tracey's style and we're all very excited to have her join us! And this week we also say goodbye to fellow DT member Suzanne who's got some exciting things of her own on the horizon!
Now that I've said my piece, you should pop on over to colourQ and see what the design team has cooked up for you this week. I'm pretty definitely sure that you will be awed, amazed, and inspired to join us!

Color Throwdown 198 and Unscripted Sketches 165
Well, after many months of seeing cards made with the adorable bunny designed by Zlatoena and sold by The Cat's Pajamas I broke down and bought some of the stamp sets. They were in my mailbox on Saturday so I was anxious to ink one up. I decided on the color challenge at The Color Throwdown and the sketch at Unscripted Sketches for this adorable image.
Don't you just love those big ears!! I cheated a bit by coloring the grass with Pool Party (who has blue grass)? But I really thought the sketch and colors went well together so I gave myself a little poetic license! I hope the gals at The Color Throwdown will forgive me!
And while I'm confessing, I may as well admit that the baker's twine is actually Calypso Coral (which is really close to Cameo Coral, I swear)!
Thanks for stopping by. And I hope you have time to check back tomorrow for a card made with some swanky new colors from the ever-popular colourQ!
