It occurred to me that January was nearly over and that I hadn't made a Christmas card yet. Well, Freshly Made Sketches to the rescue! Rita is our hostess this week and that big ol' circle made me think of a poinsettia die that I had.
The challenge at Sunday Stamps provided the colors and at the Christmas Card Challenge anything goes so I thought I'd link up over there as well.
Well I survived the #blizzardof2015 #juno in one piece! It snowed where I live for nearly 24 hours and left me with a couple of feet of snow. I can just barely see the top of the bird bath and sundial in my yard so I'm pretty sure there is at least a couple of feet out there. The snow was light and fluffy (better to shovel) and drifted quite a bit. When I first went out to shovel I had a drift in my driveway that was almost to top of my car! Fortunately, I didn't lose power which was a real concern with the gusty winds. But today it's back to business as usual. Thanks to everyone who sent a prayer and kind word my way!
The Freshly Made Sketches design team have made some amazing cards for you to see so be sure to check them out. I hope to see you in the gallery this week!

I love that poinsettia! The detail on the leaves is so pretty. I'm glad you survived the big storm and didn't lose power. All of that fluffy white stuff must have inspired you to make a pretty Christmas card.
This is beautiful! Glad to hear you made it through the snowstorm!
White poinsettias are my fave - this is gorgeous! All that snow inspired you to make that white flower....lol!
This is just lovely Jen, that poinsettia is swoon worthy!! So happy your weren't buried under too much snow. And thank goodness it was the fluffy kind. That wet heavy stuff is a bear!!!
Beautiful. Love that poinsettia and the colors. Glad you made it through the snowstorm o.k.
That kraft card base really makes the banners and that glorious poinsettia shine! Glad you survived the blizzard and hope that the snow disappears soon.
Jen this is so beautiful!
Beautiful card! Thanks for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges this week! -Jessica CCC DT
Beautiful card, Jen! The poinsettia is so pretty. Thanks for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges. Marsha DT @ SCCC.
Glad to hear the storm didn't affect you too badly Jen - I'll send you a bit of sun from Down Under! At least you can still be 'in the mood' to do Christmas cards..unlike me who's never in the mood to do a Christmas card! The poinsettia is so pretty against the bright red...love the subtle stamping behind it too!
LOVE that vellum poinsettia!! Great card.
Beautiful Christmas Card! Thanks for playing at CCC this week!!
Beautiful card and glad you managed through the snowstorm just fine!
So pretty Jen! Love that beautiful poinsettia! Great colours! The red stands out so nicely! I am so thankful you survived that crazy snow! You'd almost think you should live in Canada!!!!! I can't even imagine what a couple of feet of snow is like!
How beautiful! I love the poinsettia! Thanks for joining us at Sunday Stamps.
I think the best way to describe your card this week is "classic elegance"... the colors, the vellum and the little sparkle of gold. Wow. This is so pretty! Glad you weathered the storm without much ado!
That poinsettia is perfect for the sketch - this is a lovely elegant Christmas card! The snow I've been seeing on the news here is so foreign to me - I hope you're keeping warm!
Gorgeous, elegant card for Christmas!
I'm always smitten with poinsettias and this one is gorgeous! Love your coffee stains behind. And Christmas...seriously? I can't go there yet. But you make it tempting.
