I've been a busy little girl lately and haven't had much time to stamp. I got a hankering to do a big clean up around the house so I rented a dumpster and spent last week filling it up with a trove of junk that I have been apparently collecting since I bought my house in 1991. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in 25 years! It felt good to purge, I can tell you that!
But on to bigger and better things I say. And what better way to kick off my stamping week with a new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. This week our lovely designer is Kim and she's given us a great one that I am sure you will love!
I had a look-see at the color challenge at Global Design Project and knew right away that I wanted to play along. There was a time when I saw green on a color challenge and automatically my mind went to leaves which then went to flowers. So, not one to ignore a good sign, that is exactly the direction I went with on my card.
My half-moon doily didn't quite take up all the space on the front of my card like the one in the sketch does so I improvised by topping it off with a small horizontal strip. I quite like how it looks.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you've got some time this week to play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches. For inspiration look no further than our very own talented design team members who have offered up some gorgeous cards for you to see!

Love the black details on the background.....totally sets off those pretty flowers! And the Big Guy always promises to get me a dumpster for my birthday but hasn't done it yet because I love to throw things out!
Oh, this is gorgeous!
What a beautiful card!! Love the addition of the black-it makes the colors POP!!!
This is a lovely take on the sketch Jen, wonderful card!
The black doily really pops behind that beautiful arrangement of leaves and flowers and all the white space is the perfect finishing touch.
This card is so pretty Jen! I love those flowers and that gorgeous doily die! Very elegant!
We have our dumpster scheduled in three weeks for the same reason!! We moved in in 1990 and there are still boxes in the garage that were never unpacked!!
I love your card. I love the drama of the soft coral and olive on the black doily! Thank you for making my sketch look so good!
I love this doily and how it fits perfectly for the sketch. The black under those pretty colors is really wonderful. And oh, the clean out. I NEED to do this too. Starting with my stamp room. It is high on my list for summer!!!
Oh this is just gorgeous and so very striking! I love the black die cut you've used - it really makes your flower pop!
Oh, how I envy your dumpster! I love this card too ;)
