Freshly Made Sketches 335

It's been a while since I've made a Christmas card so I decided that our newest sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was a great way to get back in the Christmas groove.  Our sketch hostess this week is Jen Timko and her classic design had me reaching for some of my old dies that haven't seen the light of day in quite a while!  We also welcome a new guest designer for the month.  The fabulous Jill Hawkins is joining us so be sure to give her a big ol' FMS welcome!

I layerd oval dies using some glitter and white paper onto a white card base.  Then I added a couple of snowflakes cut from vellum and glitter paper and finally a sentiment die cut in white.  White cards are so hard to photograph and my photography skills are sorely lacking so you'll have to trust me that this looks much better in real life.

At Merry Monday they don't want any stamps so a few die cuts later and I was good to play along with them.  And at Addicted to CAS they want GOLD.  I made my card using white and gold accents not realizing until it was done that it fit the ATCAS challenge - what a happy coincidence!

Thanks for stopping by!  And I hope you have some time to check out our latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  We'd love to see you in the gallery!

Wow. Just wow. You can go ahead and put this in the "mail to Jen T" category for next Christmas. ;-)

What a beautiful w-o-w Christmas card with just the right touches of gold and vellum to give it schparkle and dimension! Well done, Jen, on all the challenges both intentional and serendipitous! It's amazing how often that happens! Thank you for your visit and kind words!! Hugs, Darnell

Every time I see you put up a Christmas card, I get a pang of panic and vow to start making them. I think I might have made 1 or 2 so far this year. But then I get caught up in all the non-Christmassy stuff and forget my vows, until the next time you post a Christmas card! All that to say, this is another gorgeous card and so very elegant.
