CAS(E) This Sketch 253 Meets Fusion

Today is special for so many reasons.  First we're back at CAS(E) This Sketch with our first challenge of 2018!  Second, I am pleased as punch to be joining ladies at Fusion for their anniversary challenge as the guest of my good friend Karren.  And third, there's a big old-fashioned blizzard busy pounding outside today and the concensus is that we're all going to lose power.  (I'm typing this on Wednesday night so I don't know for sure)!

But, like the US postal service, I deliver in rain, snow, and sleet.  So let's get to it!

It's retro sketch time at CAS(E) This Sketch as we bring you an oldie but goodie once again.  My design is based on the colors of the Fusion inspiration photo and I used simple geometric shapes so that this card was a bit more of a man-card.  Those cards are pretty rare for me so when inspiration strikes I run with it!

Thanks for stopping by.  And if you are in the path of this storm as it heads up the east coast then I hope you stay safe!  I hope to see you at CAS(E) This Sketch and Fusion!

Stamps:  Sohcahtoa (Altenew); Sentimental: Birthday (Winnie & Walter)
Paper:  Soft Stone (Papertrey Inkn); Cement Gray (My Favorite Things); Whisper White (Stampin' Up!)
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise (Stampin' Up!); Scarlet Jewel, Smokey Shadow (Papertrey Ink); Cement Gray (My Favorite Things)

Sure hope that the blizzard doesn't knock out the power for your end of the country! It's frigid here, but we're not getting pounded with the snow that you are! (keeping you in my prayers...) I love your take on these two challenges!! You've created a fantastic masculine card, which I might just have to CASE! Love those graphic triangles, and the colors you've pulled from the Fusion photo. Fabulous card!! Stay safe, my friend. xo Bev

Happy New Year!!
May this New Year be special in every way ... bringing you the gift of love and excitement.
I will introduce Japanese New Year's customs.
In Japan, there is a New Year holiday where family and relatives get together.
On New Year, Japanese children receive gifts of money known as "Otoshidama".
Otoshidama is given to children by adult relatives such as uncles, aunts and grandparents.
The amount of Otoshidama grows as the child older, for example, 1000 yen for children under 10, and 3000 yen for children over 10.
Otoshidama is one of the exciting traditions of New Year, which children look forward to very much.
Ryoma.

Like the colour combo. I think this could be used for either Male or Female card. Such a fun take on the sketch. - TracyB Aust.

Oh my! I hope the snow wasn't as bad as predicted. We are in for a blizzard today but it looks like it has calmed down more than expected. Thank goodness! I love this card with those awesome triangles which are totally my favorite shape! Love!

I'm so late visiting, but wanted to say thank you for being my GD for this challenge and for creating such a gorgeous card. I love the triangles - so very trendy.
