I feel like it's been forever since I've posted on my blog. It's actually only been since Thursday, but thanks to the wonderful ability to schedule posts to publish ahead of time, in reality it's been quite a while since I've tapped the keyboard here! I've been busy putting bridal shower favors together and they are almost all done so I had some time to make a card with the fabby colors this week at the Color Throwdown and the intriguing sketch from Splitcoast.
I hemmed and hawed over this card for quite some time before I decided that it was ok. My original thought was to go with some kind of floral stamp on the large white panel, but I couldn't find anything that caught my eye. (I've taken this to mean that I need more stamps!!). In the end I went with a couple of the flower images from Punched Posies and the sentiment is from Well Scripted.
After some very chilly temperatures this past week we're supposed to be in for a warm-up this weekend so I'm off to run some errands and take advantage of the warm air. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to stamp today!

Color Throwdown 124
It seems that I'm in a shabby mood. It started yesterday when I made a Valentine's Day card and continues today with a card I made for the Color Throwdown 124 color challenge.
Brown and blue together are a particular favorite of mine. Actually brown and any color are favorites of mine! And I thought the Melon Mambo was a great accent color.
Despite how this may look, it really is Melon Mambo under all that distressing! A wonderful Antique Brad finishes off the flower nicely! For this card, I used the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge for my layout. It has been ages since I've done any challenges on Splitcoast. In fact, it's been ages since I've uploaded anything to Splitcoast. I hope I remember how it's done!

Tropical Party Birthday
I really like this tropical party stamp set. And the tropical theme is so popular! As I've been blog surfing, I've seen some really adorable things with this theme. Beach bags are everywhere! (I just wish I had the Baskets and Blooms Sizzix die to make them)! :( It seems that every time I go shopping I see party supplies with a tropical flair. It makes me want to have a party myself. Alas, since I don't see any tropical parties on my horizon, I have had to content myself with making some cute cards using this super fun set. I've got some summer birthdays coming up so I figured I'd make my cards tropical birthdays! For this one I used the Splitcoast sketch challenge #281.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to stamp today!
