retro sketches 23 and Dynamic Duos 14

The heat and humidity have returned to Massachusetts and with it I think that my mojo has melted!  Yesterday I mowed the lawn and I don't think I've ever sweat so much in my life!  When I finally got into my stamp room I was so hot and tired that I was completely out of ideas!  I checked out my favorite Saturday challenges though, and thought that I could muster a little something for the sketch at retro sketches using the colors at Dynamic Duos.

I love making Halloween cards and although I've got some new Halloween stamps that I have yet to ink up, I thought this sketch would be good for one of my all-time favorites, Best Fiends.  Not being a fan of spiders in real life, I find this little guy with his wide-eyed stare adorable!  And in my head I thought he'd look good as the three images in the sketch with the fun "boo" sentiment making up the fourth part of the square.   Unfortunately what was in my head didn't come out onto my fingers and I ended up with this.  Good thing I'm early for Halloween so I can redeem myself at a later date!

I'm off to my sister's house today because my nephew and his wife are visiting from Virginia.  They were just married a year ago and I think they've got a slide show prepared of photos from the wedding.  Fun!  Thanks for stopping by!

I am in agreement with you Jen, this heat has got to go already! Ugh! Such a fun Halloween card you created! I really like the clean design and the fun baker's twine detail. It works well as a little "web" for your trio of spiders. So glad you joined us at Dynamic Duos! :)

This is such a great take on both challenges, and what a fun spider - if there is such a thing as a fun spider that is :)
