The winter that won't quit has reared its ugly head again and is dumping another foot of snow in my yard. I took this opportunity to clean the house and make a thank you card. Later I'll watch another episode of The Walking Dead. I had a lot more fun making the card than I did cleaning the house in case you're wondering.
The card is a thank you card which I needed to replenish my stash. I've been concentrating on those a lot lately because I was wiped out. At my office we tend to receive lots of candy and other assorted gifts from customers at the end of the year and I always donate the thank you cards to be sent. Once I did that I realized that I really didn't have all that many left so I'll be making quite a few of those as time goes by. Today's card was made with the colors at Color Throwdown and the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch.
I think it's been a while since I inked up this pretty Verve flower. It's one of my favorites so that's a real shame. It's so easy to get caught up with the latest new stamping stuff and neglect the things that we already have. So I like to peruse my stash every so often and see what's been gathering dust. This flower is timeless and classic and I'll never part with it so it's only fitting that I take it out and give it some ink every so often!
This crazy winter weather seems to be affecting lots of people across the country so I hope that wherever you are you are safe and holed up with your stamping supplies! Spring is coming - it's only a matter of time - so hang in there!

Pink and charcoal must have been designer colors when I was a kid. The bathroom in our home had those color tiles...the additional melon and red definitely improve the color scheme. A very pretty classic card...just popping with interest. I love the grid and the twine bow on the button. Sweet!
Gorgeous card Jen. I love the background image.
I love the Walking Dead!
Oh wow this is stunning!!
Laura
You do Verve flowers so well, Jen :) Gorgeous card. For the frozen stuff you are getting we are getting the liquid version - ugh! Would almost be willing to trade LOL! Almost...
LOVE this CAS beauty! Your Verve posies caught my eye in the gallery and going to have to pin this one! So happy to have you playing along with us again!
I am going to have to come here to look at beautiful flowers because I don't think I will ever see a real one again around here!
Gorgeous take on both the challenges and I am loving that grid stamp! Thanks for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
So pretty Jen - especially with the stamped grid background...I've got a similar one but never thought of using it with flowers!
I just love this and your take on the sketch! The grid works as such a great way to ground the flower! Ohio has way too much snow, too...and I've been stamping flowers and sunshine all evening long.
Your flower is sooo pretty and I love the stamped grid pattern in the background...such a beautiful CAS design!!! Thanks for joining us for the Color Throwdown Challenge!!!!
Another amazing beauty :)
Oh, this is fabulous! What a gorgeous take on the sketch!
