ColourQ 96 and SSSC128

It seems like it's been ages since I've been in my stamp room.  In fact it has been ages!  Although my last post was on Sunday, I actually scheduled that up days ahead of time because I was away from home.  So today is the first time in about a week that I managed to make it into my stamp room and make a card for the ColourQ, one of my favorite challenges.

As I write this, I am reminded that I used to be terrified of color challenges!  Up until I was invited to become part of the ColorLab design team, I almost never made a card for a color challenge because I was afraid that I would fail miserably!  But as I have discovered, colors are not scary at all so I think I'll keep at it!  For this particular color challenge, I thought the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge was a nice complement.

When I chose to get the Array of Sunshine stamp set (a hostess set that you can only get if you are a hostess!) I had no idea that I was going to love it so much!  It's perfect for a bit of fussy cutting and layering, which is usually what I do with it.

For this card I used some Basic Gray from the retired Lap of Luxury designer paper as well as a smidge of Lucky Limeade from the Berry Blossoms designer paper.  I stamped my leaves in Lucky Limeade and was afraid that they would look a little lost against the Lucky Limeade dp, so I very lightly sponged them with a little Basic Gray on the edges.  I think it's a nice contrast.

So, it's great to be back in my stamp room being creative!  And I hope you have some time today to be a little creative yourself!
