Freshly Made Sketches 572

Hi all!  It's Wednesday, so that means we've got a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess is Linda and those big circles on her sketch turned into dahlias on my card!

This dahlia stamp set is very tricky to try and layer but after several years of trying, I think I've finally got it down!  For my card I used blues on the flowers and reds on the background, both inspired by the color challenge at As You See It Challenge.  That horizontal layer is actually some ombre glimmer paper and it is so pretty in real life!

Thanks for stopping by!  My fellow Freshly Made Sketches design team friends have made amazing cards with this sketch so be sure to check them out!

Supplies
Stamps:  Delightful Delightful Additions (Papertrey Ink); Simple Sentiments (Avery Elle)
Paper: Whisper White, In Color Glimmer Paper2022-2024 (Simply Sentiment)
Ink:  Iceberg, Eastern Sky, Ultramarine, Azurite (Altenew)'; Onyx Black (Versafine)

I think you've definitely nailed those dahlias Jen - and they look fabulous against the glimmer paper background too. Gorgeous card! Thanks for playing with us over at As You See It Challenge this week!

Wow! Those dahlias are gorgeous and a perfect use for those colours! The ombre glimmer paper definitely gives the impression of going from the red to the pink. One of my favourite parts of your design is the delicate vellum leaves, which adds to the CAS look that's so appealing! Thanks for using our palette at As You See It Challenges!

Oh my! What a lovely way to use the colours! I'd say you've worked out those flowers too. Layered stamps - they promise you the world but then you have to finesse them into behaving! :-)
Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenge.

They are beautiful! (I'm glad you kept trying!) I love that you stayed true to the blue/red color them with those soft vellum leaves.

These dahlias are just stunning! Great job lining the images up! And in today's useless trivia section, I just have to mention that here in NZ, we pronounce them day-lee-as not dar-lee-as. And now back to your scheduled programming. :)
